Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Last week, Honor announced big news. The Chinese manufacturer will return to the Indian market and soon launch the latest HP in the country for the first time after 3 years.
It is known that Honor left India in 2020, shortly after leaving Huawei and becoming an independent company.
The trigger is a geopolitical problem. New Delhi continues to tighten supervision of Chinese companies.
The decision to return to India seems to have been taken seriously by Honor. This is because India is the largest mobile phone market in the world after China.
Unmitigated, Honor took the former CEO of Realme, Madhav Sheth to lead the team in India. This is known from Sheth’s personal X (formerly Twitter) account.
“What’s going on @HonorTechIndia? Keep up with our updates,” he said, quoted Friday (18/8/2023).
According to rumors circulating, Honor 90 will be the first mobile phone to be marketed to Indians after 3 years of absence. However, there has been no further news regarding this matter. We’ll wait!
