There are many things that can cause high cholesterol. Starting from daily habits such as eating fatty foods, not exercising, being overweight, smoking and drinking alcohol. In addition, this condition can also occur due to genetic conditions.
There are various ways to lower cholesterol. One of them is drinking boiled water of certain leaves.
The following leaves can be boiled to lower cholesterol levels:
1. Bay Leaves
Not only as a food additive, bay leaves can also lower cholesterol. Bay leaves are rich in flavonoid compounds. These flavonoids function as powerful antioxidants in lowering high cholesterol levels.
2. Soursop leaves
Soursop leaves have long been known to the public as a herbal cholesterol drug that is easy to find and even claimed to be very effective. One study stated that soursop leaf boiled water contains flavonoid compounds which can have the effect of forming cholesterol in the blood.
3. Artichoke Leaves

4. Betel Leaf

5. Lemongrass Leaves

6. Moringa leaves

7. Rosemary leaves
Rosemary can also have a positive effect on a person’s cholesterol levels.
According to a 2014 study, people who consumed 2 grams, 5 grams, or 10 grams of rosemary powder daily experienced reduced total cholesterol levels. They think this herb can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and other chronic conditions.
