Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Indonesia has many inventors whose innovations are recognized by the world.
The findings from Indonesia consist of infrastructure systems, communication technology, to medical devices.
The following are seven findings originating from Indonesia, according to a release from the Batam Institute of Technology, quoted from Detik.com, Friday (18/8/2022).
1. RM Sedyatmo (inventor of the chicken claw foundation)
A graduate of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1934, RM Sedyatmo, invented an architectural infrastructure system or chicken claw foundation. Sedyamo’s invention was used on the runway of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
2. Khoirul Anwar (inventor of the concept of two FFTs)
The concept of two Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) will later be used in 4G LTE and become a standard for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and patented in 2005. Khoirul is a graduate of Japan’s NAIST (Nara Institute of Science and Technology).
Apart from the FFT concept, he also has a number of other patents. For example, an illegal transmitter detection system that could potentially be used in 5G technology.
3. Yogi Ahmad Erlangga (inventor of mathematical formulas in petroleum)
Yogi succeeded in solving the Helmholtz equation using numerical mathematics quickly (robust). The result is used for seismic data processing to be a hundred times faster.
The method used is considered better and faster than that used by oil companies. He also succeeded in finding formulas for various oil problems and his ability to attract the attention of the world oil company, Shell.
4. Randall Hartolaksono (inventor of anti-heat and anti-fire fuel)
Another inventor is Randall who is a graduate of the University of London. He found fire-resistant and heat-resistant materials from cassava skin. In the end it is used by the world’s automotive companies and is recognized by companies such as Petronas and Ford.
5. Muhammad Nurhuda (inventor of an environmentally friendly stove)
A lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya has succeeded in creating an environmentally friendly stove. Nurhuda also developed a Pilot Plan for Gasification of Waste Gas into Syngas for an Alternative Electricity Generation that is Environmentally Friendly, producing waste below the minimum limit set by WHO.
6. Tjokorda Raka Sukawati (inventor of the flyover support system)
Tjokorda is the inventor of the Sosrobahu construction or Barrier-Free Turning Platform (LPBH). It is a system that can facilitate the construction of service roads without disrupting traffic flow.
His findings have been applied by engineers from the United States (US) when building a bridge in Seattle.
7. Warsito P. Taruno (inventor of cancer therapy)
Warsito’s original idea was to help his sister who had stage IV breast cancer. Next he created a cancer therapy tool Electro-Capacitive Cancer Therapy (ECCT).
