Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto accompanying President Joko Widodo and Mrs. Iriana Jokowi on a working visit to New Delhi, India. President Jokowi’s entourage together with a number of ministers attended a series of G20 Summits.
President Jokowi and his entourage took off from Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten, at around 14.45 WIB. The moment of departure of Jokowi, Iriana Jokowi, Airlangga and other entourage was immortalized on President Jokowi’s official Instagram.
In his upload, the President admitted that he would attend a series of G20 summits and hold a number of bilateral meetings with several country leaders.
“I want to hold a number of bilateral meetings with several state leaders. We ask for prayers from all the people so that this trip will be made easier and bring benefits to Indonesia,” wrote Jokowi on his official Instagram, quoted Friday (8/9/2023).
Previously, Jokowi admitted to bringing a number of agendas and commitments to the series of G20 Summits in India. One thing that the Indonesian government will bring is related to stability and peace.
“I am going to the G20 Summit in India and what commitments will we bring there, in my opinion stability and peace are the keys to prosperity that the world needs a safe house,” said Jokowi after the 43rd ASEAN Summit series at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), on Thursday (7/9/2023).
The head of state said he would prioritize collaboration and cooperation and be committed to voicing the interests of developing countries.
“Collaboration, cooperation must be prioritized, and Indonesia will continue to voice the interests of developing countries regarding inclusiveness and the rights to prosper their people, including industrial down streaming,” said Jokowi.
Meanwhile, Airlangga emphasized that the Indonesian Government has a big mission on the G20 Summit agenda. One of them is to strengthen cooperation in the economic sector.
“At the India Summit, Indonesia will continue to strive to collaborate with other countries in various fields, including the economic sector. So that development will continue to occur and society will prosper,” said the General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP.
Apart from Airlangga, accompanying Jokowi on the flight to New Delhi were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi. Furthermore, there are also Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani and Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan.
When Jokowi and Airlangga’s flight took off for the G20 Summit, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto was seen seeing off President Jokowi and his entourage. Apart from that, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono, and Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar were also seen.
