Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – A gala dinner or banquet for state guests attending the ASEAN Summit (Summit) in Jakarta will be held on Wednesday night (6/9/2023). The friendly event will be held at the City Forest by Plataran which is inside the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium complex.
Celebrity chef Arnold Poernomo is one of the cooks entrusted with preparing dishes for this important event. Chef Arnold said, the theme of the dish for this dinner was “Nusantara on The Forest.”
“So to get inspiration, right, we already have the theme Nusantara on the Forest, but to inspire each dish we throw it at all the teams to serve the menu,” said the chef whose name has skyrocketed thanks to the Master Chef Indonesia event, as quoted from the YouTube Secretary of the President .

Furthermore, Arnold said that his team consists of a number of young chefs who are deliberately given the opportunity to show their skills in serving special meals for a number of important people in the world.
Chef Degan Septoadji, who is also part of the core team of cooks for the gala dinner at the ASEAN Summit, hopes that the Indonesian dishes they prepare will be well received by the honorary state guests.
“Hopefully the guests attending the ASEAN Summit can see that Indonesian cuisine is very worthy to compete in the world and indeed it is also time for our food to go global,” he said.
