Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates that low category rainfall (less than 100 mm per month) will occur from August to October. This is also the impact of the El Nino phenomenon.
“Based on BMKG’s monthly rainfall predictions, several areas will experience monthly rainfall in the low category (0 – 100 mm/month), especially in August – September – October,” said BMKG, quoted from its official website, Saturday (10/9/2023 ).
BMKG explained that low category rain will occur in central to southern Sumatra, Java, Bali to Nusa Tenggara, southern Kalimantan, most of Sulawesi, parts of North Maluku, parts of Maluku and southern Papua.
Especially for El Nino, its impact on the strong dry season has occurred since July and will continue until next October. BMKG also reminded us to increase alertness this month.
“Therefore, we need to increase vigilance during these months. Moreover, there are many areas in Indonesia that will enter the peak of the dry season in these months,” explained BMKG.
