Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Secretary General of the DPP PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto opened his voice over Budiman Sudjatmiko who declared to support Prabowo Subianto in this 2024 Presidential Candidate. Hasto said that the Budiman Sudjatmiko hijacking case by Prabowo Subianto’s camp actually proved their lack of self-confidence.
“After ganging up on Ganjar Pranowo, they are still using persuasion of power to try to act unethically, apply it divide at empire,” Hasto said on the sidelines of the East Kalimantan DPD PDIP Regional Working Meeting in Balikpapan, Sunday (20/8/2023).
“By doing politics divide et impera it actually shows the lack of self-confidence on the part there even though previously they had tried to gang up on Pak Ganjar Pranowo, so that these steps will actually generate positive energy for the movement of all PDI Perjuangan cadres,” Hasto continued.
Hasto also gave a note regarding the location of the declaration of support in Central Java Province. Hasto explained that the actions taken by Budiman and Prabowo in Semarang would actually make PDIP cadres in Central Java more solid. Actions like this will actually make the spirit of the Bull cadres even more vibrant.
Hasto assessed that a similar incident had occurred during the 2019 election. At that time, Prabowo’s camp built a post in the Solo area, which is the place of origin of Joko Widodo (Jokowi), who at that time became his opponent.
As a result, Prabowo’s camp had to walk away losing. Because these actions actually made the enthusiasm and militancy of cadres and supporters even greater.
“What happened actually awakened the spirit of all PDI Perjuangan cadres, especially since the announcement was made in Central Java. This aroused the militancy of all PDI Perjuangan cadres,” said Hasto.
Asked about the steps taken against Budiman as a PDIP cadre, Hasto ensured that his party would give strict disciplinary sanctions. Hasto Kristiyanto said the DPP Chairperson for PDIP Honor Komarudin Watubun would convey this on Monday (21/8/2023).
“Later, Mr. Komarudin will announce, what is clear is that the party does not tolerate disciplinary action by any party cadres. The party will take firm action. The options are resigning or receiving a dismissal sanction,” said Hasto.
He emphasized that, so far, PDIP has always prioritized political ethics and everyone who joins PDIP on a voluntary basis is not hijacked or enticed.
As is known, Budiman declared his support for Prabowo at the Prabowo Budiman United (Prabu) volunteer event at the Marina Convention Center, Semarang City, Central Java, Friday (18/8).
Budiman voiced his support for Prabowo when he still held the status of a PDI Perjuangan cadre, the political party that carries Ganjar Pranowo.
