Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Main Director of Perum Bulog Budi Waseso (Buwas) said, his party canceled releasing and/or distributing Food Supply and Price Stabilization Stabilization (SPHP) rice in ‘mini’ 1 kilogram (kg) packaging. This is due to the availability of food assistance for Beneficiary Families (KPM).
“Because now there is food assistance of 10 kg per KPM, for one kilo we will withdraw it. We will not implement it,” said Buwas at Transmart Wholesale Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, Friday (8/9/2023).
Meanwhile, Buwas said that the distribution of food aid in the amount of 640 thousand tons of rice to 21.3 million KPM would be carried out simultaneously on Monday, 11 September 2023.

Previously, Buwas said that his party was preparing 1 kg SPHP rice for people who might not be able to buy 5 kg SPHP rice at once.
“We are currently thinking about this. So later Bulog will also make packaging (packaging) which is 1 kg. So people who can’t buy 5 kg later we will give 1 kg,” Buwas explained to journalists after reviewing the availability of rice at the Klender Market with Bulog , Monday (28/8/2023).
