Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – NASA senior scientists say humans will soon detect alien life in 2025.
“I think we will find strong indications of the existence of creatures outside Earth within a decade. Concrete evidence will soon be found,” said NASA Chief Scientist and planetary geologist Ellen Stofan, quoted from Space, Saturday (9/9/2023).
Stofan boasted that scientists already know where to look for traces of alien life, and how to see them.
“We already have the technology. Now it’s just a matter of the process of implementing that technology. I think we’re really getting there [menemukan kehidupan alien],” he said.
Observations by NASA’s Kepler telescope show that almost all the stars in the sky have planets. Most likely, these planets have traces of life from other creatures.
Furthermore, Kepler showed that rocky planets like Earth and Mars have many similarities, compared to gas-based planets like Saturn and Jupiter.
NASA Astrophysics Division Director Paul Hertz said the Milky Way galaxy where the Earth stands is a ‘wet’ place. There are many traces of water found, and it could be said to be a sign of extensive life.
However, it should be noted that finding traces of alien life is more complex than identifying a suitable environment for life.
Until now, scientists continue to explore to find habitable places and signals of the presence of aliens. Let’s just wait for developments.
