Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Huawei launched a mysterious flagship HP, namely the Huawei Mate 60 Pro in China, Tuesday (29/8/2023).
The launch of this smartphone was quite surprising because the company did not provide any leaks regarding its presence.
This cellphone seems to be a sign of China’s victory over the United States in the “chip war”. The Huawei Mate 60 Pro is said to contain a locally made 5G chip.
In fact, the US has revoked the license to export 5G network technology from the US giant to Huawei. If Huawei is able to make its own 5G cellphone, it is suspected that the company can already produce its own 5G chip.
Huawei Mate 60 Pro specifications
To quote GSMArena, Huawei embeds the Kirin 9000S (5nm) chipset. With the HarmonyOS 4.0 operating system, not Android made by Google.
Mate 60 Pro is equipped with only one RAM option and three storage options, namely 12GB/256 GB, 12GB/512 GB and 12GB/1 TB.
Huawei Mate 60 Pro is designed with a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED screen and a resolution of 1212 x 2616 pixels. The screen is also equipped with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. In addition, the Mate 60 Pro’s screen is protected by the second generation of Kunlun glass.
Uniquely, this smartphone screen has three holes or punch holes. The hole houses the 13 MP (ultrawide) front camera, as well as the 3D ToF sensor and Face ID security feature.
While on the back there is a circular camera module. The module accommodates three cameras, consisting of a 50 MP main camera accompanied by f/1.4 to f/4.0 aperture features, OIS stabilization, and PDAF.
48 MP telephoto camera (f/3.5), which is equipped with 90mm (periscope telephoto, PDAF, OIS stabilization, and 3.5x optical zoom. Then there is a 12 MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2).
Huawei Mate 60 announced that it can be used to make satellite phone calls. As for color availability, it comes in a choice of black, white, green and purple. The Huawei Mate 60 Pro sells for 6,999 yuan or around Rp. 14.7 million.
