Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The government plans an infrastructure budget of IDR 422.7 trillion in the 2024 Draft State Budget. This plan was conveyed by President Joko Widodo during the delivery of the government’s statement on the 2024 State Budget Law and Financial Statements at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (16/8 /2023).
According to Jokowi, the budget will be directed to support strengthening the provision of basic services; increasing productivity through connectivity and mobility infrastructure; improvement of irrigation networks through the construction of dams, primary, secondary and tertiary irrigation channels; provision of infrastructure in the energy and food sector that is affordable, reliable and sustainable; equal access to Information and Communication Technology; as well as supporting strategic projects, including the development of IKN.
“To encourage productivity, mobility and connectivity, as well as equitable distribution, the infrastructure budget has been allocated in the amount of IDR 422.7 trillion,” said Jokowi.

Acceleration of infrastructure development is carried out through a mix of funding schemes, through synergies in terms of investment financing and spending by Ministries/Institutions and increasing the role of the private sector.
“For this reason, the government continues to encourage the development of a more massive and sustainable Cooperation Scheme between the Government and Business Entities,” he said.
