Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan responded regarding the operation of the Jabodebek LRT which often has problems after the inauguration. According to him this is normal and there is no need to make a fuss about it.
“The LRT doesn’t have any mistakes, it’s still calibrated, so don’t keep making a fuss. This is the first time for the nation’s children. Didn’t China and then Japan experience something like this? Yes, you did,” said Luhut in Presidential Palace Complex, Friday (1/9/2023).
According to Luhut, currently his party is conducting an in-depth evaluation with the Ministry of Transportation so that Jabodebek LRT operations can continue to be improved. One of them is the addition of a trainset.
“That’s also the new train set for 16, then it will continue to 22-36 and so on. We want the headway to be 4 minutes. How much now? 8 minutes 12 minutes. Slowly decreasing as well as calibrating, it might take the next few months, Luhut said.
“So there’s no need to be too fussy about saying this, everything takes time. Even married people need time,” he added.
Previously, after the operation of the Jabodebek LRT, it experienced several problems. Starting from door problems, power outages, problematic trains to headways that don’t go according to schedule.
