Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – iPhone 15 will be released on September 12, 2023. Ahead of launch day, Google launched a scathing satire about USB-C on this cellphone.
A number of rumors state that the iPhone 15 will use USB-C. If true, this iPhone will be the first to use it after the previous generation always had a Lightning port.
In a video uploaded to YouTube entitled Spa Day, Google teased the iPhone’s latest ‘innovation’. In the video, the iPhone and Google Pixel are seen relaxing.
“This is great. Pixel, Spa Day is the perfect idea with all the big launches coming,” iPhone said in the video, quoted from the YouTube channel Made by GoogleThursday (7/9/2023).
Then the iPhone complained that the launch moment wasn’t as enjoyable as it used to be. The iPhone remembers the Sliding to Unlock feature which was launched 16 years ago and was greeted with great fanfare.
iPhone explained that the cellphone could not keep up with some of the features presented by Pixel. Starting from blurring old photos, answering calls from unknown people using AI, and translating messages directly.
However, with a fairly proud tone, iPhone ensures that the launch of its newest cellphone will bring something interesting. It turns out that it is the use of USB-C on the iPhone 15.
“Still a secret. But let’s just say it will be USB-C-ing soon,” iPhone said.
“Did you finally use a USB-C charger?” Pixel asked.
iPhone was described as quite surprised by Pixel’s guess. The use of USB-C is not something new on Android phones, most of them already support this charger.
At the end of the video, Google also embedded the tagline ‘Rest up for October 4’. Referring to Tech Crunch’s report last week, this date is the launch time for the Pixel 8 series.
