Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) admitted that he already knew the name of the vice presidential candidate (cawapres) that Anies Baswedan had pocketed. AHY suggested that it could be announced sooner.
AHY is Anies Baswedan’s strongest vice presidential candidate. A number of other names are still being discussed, such as East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa. Apart from Khofifah, there is the name Yenny Wahid. However, it is said that Yenny’s name was never proposed by parties supporting Anies, namely Nasdem, PKS, and Democrats.
“Yes, of course, the sooner the better,” said AHY in response to the consideration that the vice presidential candidate, Anies, should sooner or later, at the PKS DPP Office, South Jakarta, last Sunday was written Tuesday (29/8/2023).
To quote detik.com, AHY said the sooner the announcement would be the better for the coalition. He wanted the announcement of the cawapres to be made at the right moment.

“It could be today, it could be tomorrow, it could be the day after tomorrow, hopefully the time is the best. The momentum is the best, and of course it brings better opportunities too,” said AHY.
“You already know,” said AHY in response to the name of the cawapres that Anies had pocketed.
AHY did not specify what kind of figure the cawapres would be. However, he believes this figure can bring a chance of victory.
“Ask Mas Anies (name),” he added.
