Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Republic of Indonesia Money Printing Corporation (Peruri) will lead government technology (govtech) projects at both local and national levels. This technological transformation in the realm of government is part of the Indonesia Digital Vision 2045 strategy which includes the development of a digital economy, digital government, digital society, and digital infrastructure.
Peruri Main Director Dwina Septiani Wijaya explained that President Joko Widodo had also approved the proposal regarding Peruri being appointed to lead the Govtech project. Meanwhile, according to him, the technological transformation in the realm of government is the other side of Peruri.
“Maybe in the first five years we have carried out corporate digital transformation. That is the role that comes back and we have to collaborate even more,” he said at the CNBC Indonesia Tech Conference 2023, Tuesday (22/8/2023).
For information, the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas explained the urgency of accelerating the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) in a Limited Cabinet Meeting some time ago. The Ministry of PANRB is one of the coordinators for implementing SPBE nationally.
In the SPBE draft, the government will integrate more than 27 thousand existing public service applications. In the early stages, several integrations will be carried out, such as education, health, social assistance, and a number of other services.
“President Jokowi instructed a breakthrough where Indonesia for the first time had an integrated SPBE Architecture. We were also asked to benchmark various best practices in a number of countries regarding the success of implementing digital service integration,” said Anas.
