Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The government has decided on 27 national holidays and collective leave in 2024. This determination is stated in a joint decree (SKB) of three ministers, namely the Minister of Manpower, Minister of PANRB and Minister of Religion.
Of these 27 days, there will be 17 days of national holidays and 10 days of collective leave next year. However, of this amount, the government will determine an additional 2 days.
Thus, the government is opening up the possibility of two additional holidays so that the number of national holidays and collective leave in 2024 could increase to 29 days in the context of the Presidential and Legislative Elections.
“It is estimated that on February 14 2024, it is certain that there will be a presidential election. Later it will be regulated by the Presidential Decree itself, there will be a presidential election and a legislative election,” said Minister for Administrative Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas.
According to Anas, the government will anticipate that the presidential election will run in two rounds. So, he continued, there will be two additional holidays.
“So apart from the Presidential Election and Legislative Election, if there is a second round, we will make our own Presidential Decree outside of that,” he said.
