Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – A Japanese man who is willing to live as a dog has recently gone viral on social media.
The man named Toco has a strange and unusual obsession, namely wanting to become a Collie dog.
In fact, he said that being a dog was his childhood dream.
“This desire (to be an animal) has been around for a long time, as far as I can remember,” said Toco, quoted from his personal YouTube channel, I want to be an animal, Saturday (2/9/2023).
“It’s hard to answer what prompted me to want to be an animal,” added Toco.
He admits that he really likes cute animals with four legs. Apart from liking Collie dogs, the size of these animals also feels right with his body.
To make this happen, Toco paid a fortune to create super realistic dog costumes. He said that it took 40 days to make the fur costume. Reportedly, the cost of producing the costumes was 2 million yen, or around Rp. 211.8 million.
Not just a collection, Toco even uses it outside the home. Many people think that Toco wants to experience life as a dog, but that’s not the goal.
It is said that Toco basically just wants to transform.
“I never said I was tired of being human. Be careful with misinformation,” said Toco.
The reaction of the Toco family
Even though it was considered strange, the Toco family finally accepted their son’s decision.
“The family was very surprised but received it well. I am very happy that they received it,” he said.
Toco himself doesn’t want anyone to know his real figure apart from the woman who accompanies him in the video who seems to be part of the family. Because of this, he does not feature his transformation on YouTube.
“I don’t want my hobby to be known, to be known by the people I work with. They think it’s weird to want to be a dog. For some reason I don’t show my real face.” he said.
