One of the beneficiaries of PTBA’s PUMK program is Salamun, a rice cultivator in Sukoharjo Village, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung. At first, Suherman’s cultivation results were not optimal due to limited capital.
It was noted that Suherman only had an initial capital of Rp. 8 million for 1 hectare of land. However, Salamun only made a gross profit of IDR 15 million in 3 months.
Fortunately, in 2020, Salamun joined PTBA Foster Partners and received a loan from PUMK. This assistance is used to meet the needs of fertilizers and medicines so that the growth and quality of rice can be maximized.
After receiving assistance from PTBA, Salamun admitted that his sales had increased dramatically. He, he continued, is now able to obtain a net profit of IDR 35 million per hectare.
“I am very grateful and grateful to PTBA for providing business assistance, so that it can increase business profits in the field of rice farming,” said Salamun.
Thanks to the benefits, Salamun is now also able to develop his business in the field of cattle farming.
Initially he bought a pair of Bali cattle. Over time, the cattle ranch is growing.Until last year, Salamun had sold calves for Rp 8 million per head. And at this moment, he already had 5 cows.
