Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo plans to try out the Jakarta – Bandung High Speed Train train tomorrow, Wednesday (13/9/2023). This is the first time Jokowi has tried out the Indonesia-China cooperation train.
“That’s the plan,” said PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) Corporate Communication Manager Emir Monti in a short message to CNBC Indonesia, Tuesday (12/9/2023).
Jokowi has never tried out this train project which was hampered. On his last visit on (13/10/2022) at Padalarang Station he only saw the readiness of the station until he saw the first fleet of bullet trains or Electric Multiple Units (EMU) which had just been imported from China.

Previously, PT KCIC ensured that the implementation of trials of high-speed train facilities continued to run smoothly according to the established schedule.
All fast train facilities and infrastructure from Tegalluar to Halim can still operate according to the predetermined trial schedule and run safely without any problems. Including the Halim Fast Train station which is also in safe condition.
“No damage occurred in the area inside or outside Halim Station. KCIC has also coordinated with WIKA as the contractor and the East Jakarta Fire Department to carry out handling and the situation can be controlled properly,” said PT KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa, in a statement.
KCIC also ensures that currently all station facility functions can function well and all employees can complete work without obstacles in preparation for high-speed train operations.
